Ishini Mazuka
FEMALE | EIGHTEEN | HETEROSEXUAL | FOURTH YEAR |
ELECTROKINESIS | MEGATON PUNCH |
POWER DESCRIPTIONS
Electrokinesis - Ishi's primary power, her Electrokinesis has evolved over the years and allows her to do a great deal with it by manipulating the electricity in the air. She primarily uses it combatively to electrocute opponents or to discharge massive amount of electricity as a sort of electrical overload. When angered, it manifests passively as high-voltage static that arcs between strands of hair and along her body. She's also capable of rooting or grabbing opponents at a max of ten feet eith her electricty, and can electrically charge per attacks to give them an almost stun gun effect. Can be very lethal in a variety of situations, especially when coupled with her Megaton Punch. She's also capable of creating a repulsion field with her electricty, allowing her to bind limbs or create walls. However, this power makes her especially susceptible to EMP blasts, and even one in the form of an EMP grenade would severely damage her, and could easily cause her to lose access to this or both of her powers for an extended period of time.
Megaton Punch - Ishini can hit things really, really hard. She's capable of denting or blasting through steel, though the amount of force put out is so massive that she'll even break her own bones if she uses it too much or puts out too much force at once. This is given ample proof due to the state of her right arm. The force potential only maintains in her arms, meaning she can't utilize it to induce high-force kicks. It should be noted that the bones in her right arm have been broken and healed so often that the bones are strong enough to take three blasts from this ability begore the bone breaks, while her left can only take a single hit before shattering. The amount of force she subconsciously adds to each hit is compounded with her anger, making her rather volatile if anger is fueling her combat. She tends to take advantage of this mainly in one on one fights or on the last enemy of a large scale brawl.

APPEARANCE
Ishini Mazuka. Five foot four, brown hair, amber eyes. She wears a unique variant of the sailor uniforms that one would see in parts of Asia, namely Japan, and couples them with steel-toed military boots. Her hair just barely reaches her hips, and she seems to possess a sort of “resting bitch” neutral expression. Her entire right arm is covered in bandages from shoulder down to the first knuckle of each finger, and her hand up to her elbow is usually clad in a metal gauntlet- regardless of her attire or where she’s at. Rumor has it that her right arm is severely burned from a fire she started when she was younger, though others suggest that she was born without skin on that arm or that perhaps it is just mangled due to the multitude of times she’s broken it using her secondary ability.
There’s also one that suggest her right arm isn’t even flesh and bone, seeing as how she can bend steel around it if someone else supplies the force. That and the fact that she doesn’t seem to register pain in that particular limb.

PERSONALITY
Put simply, Ishi is a bitch. At best. At least for those that can’t get over her tough exterior. Under the surface she’s as cuddly as a damn kitten, but growing up in the slums of Chicago doesn’t do much in terms of making one good and friendly. So that said, yes, Ishini Mazuka is almost certifiably a bitch. She tends to speak very harshly, even when saying things that aren’t generally intended to be insults or otherwise inflammatory comments, which has driven her into a number of fights in the past, present, and presumably future.
Not that she minds of course, for her there’s little better than one-punching someone straight to Hell. Even if she has to suffer a broken arm as consequence.
She cares deeply for her friends, of course, which leads us into what lies beneath that spikey, thorny exterior. The warm, friendly side of the Howling Storm that only a few manage to come out with enough bones intact to actually live to see.
Beneath her bitch, Ishini is an incredibly caring person, and often a rather generous one at that. She gets a tad bit irritated when people act really surprised by it though, and it should also be noted that she doesn’t have much skill in detecting sarcasm. She can tell when it’s present, though only after waiting a few moments.

BIOGRAPHY
Ishini Mazuka was born and for the most part raised in the rather bad neighborhoods of Chicago. Her mother died during childbirth, leaving her father to take care of Ishini and her three younger siblings up until the point where his own body gave out on him. Ishi was seven at the time, and was suddenly thrust into the role of taking care of her entire family. She managed to find odd jobs here and there to keep their house and provide for her siblings and father, oftentimes only making the rent due to his disability checks.
When she was nine, Ishi ended up falling into a gang. The goings were good, she was able to provide for her family more comfortably than she had been before, and as a bonus she was no longer constantly fending off bullies and other unsavory creatures on her way from job to job. It wasn’t steady income, but it was something. After a couple of years, Ishi began to notice changes. The air around her seemed to spark whenever she got angry, her hair raised on end from the electricity, and day by day she was steadily able to hit harder and harder. By the time she was halfway through age 12, she had found herself in the inner echelons of the gang’s membership. One of their Elite.
The Howling Storm was conceived the next week. It was routine operation, but one that went astray. The only reason there weren’t any casualties for her side was because Ishi’s powers chose that exact moment to come out in full force. Her body practically exploded with electric energy, and she found herself instinctively able to focus it in on targets. Those that she couldn’t shock were dealt with through brute force.
She broke her arm that day for the first time.
The summer after her eighth grade year, Ishini was approached by a scouter for Aurora Academy. They offered to help her family keep their debts paid, in exchange for her attending the school. She hesitated, but realized that the gang life wasn’t something she did out of desire- but necessity.
She accepted, and arrived to the first semester of her First Year with bandages over her right arm, to hide the proof of her past, and a metal gauntlet that she had forged during that time to give her right hand a little more pain potential when she hit things with it. All to hide her darkest secret.
She’s broken her right arm plenty of times since then, the bones healing stronger each and every time. She’s broken her left once, and fallen in love only to rescind it later on. She can use her arm for three Megaton Punches before it breaks, though the pain sensors in that particular limb have long since stopped functioning properly. The only pains she receives now are ghosts, dull aches of blows that she had long since dealt out.
Aches in her arm, and a scorching, tearing pain in her chest.
